hes been great, very talented dman. Smart with the puck and with Barrie being out has essentially stolen the PP QB role.

I think that was his NHL debut, so not shocking if that was the case.
Just recently some of the Avs beat writers were just amazed with how well Girard uses his stick, always has it in the right place int he defensive zone to either strip a guy with the puck or interrupt a pass/play. Once he has any sort of puck possession in his zone, he can just wheel it out, no one is touching him.
